BATON ROUGE,Databec Exchange La. (AP) — The inauguration of Gov.-elect Jeff Landry was to be held Monday at 11:30 a.m. on the steps of the Louisiana Capitol, but because of expected severe weather, the ceremony has been pushed up a day to Sunday at 4:30 p.m.
Ticketed access to seating for the swearing-in ceremony for the state’s 57th governor will open up at 2 p.m., news outlets reported.
Landry’s transition team said 4,200 parking spaces for the public near the Capitol will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
In addition, an inaugural ball will be held for Landry at the Raising Cane’s River Center in downtown Baton Rouge at 7 p.m. Monday. People can purchase tickets to that event for $100 on Landry’s website,
